LIMA 2007 enters third day
LANGKAWI, Thurs.
The Langkawi International Maritime and Aerospace (Lima) 2007 exhibition entered its third day today with the signing of several memandums of understanding as well as sales between local and international companies and other events.
At the Langkawi WMYC (Wave Master Yacht) wharf, Yang di-Pertuan Agong Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin watched as the Raja Permaisuri Agong, Tuanku Nur Zahirah, launched the Royal Malaysian Navy patrol boat, KD Terengganu.
Present were the Sultan of Selangor, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah, who is also Captain-in-Chief of the Royal Malaysian Navy and Deputy Prime Minister and Defence Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak.
The ceremony was the highlight of the maritime segment of Lima at Awana Porto Malai.
Meanwhile, the aerospace segment at the Mahsuri International Exhibition Centre in Padang Matsirat continued with an airshow and static exhibition of 80 aircraft.
